The misprints are a great way to get an almost perfect Dance Towel for a way lower price!
Sometimes slight mistakes happen in the delicate 2 sided printing process. Sometimes the print is a little close to the edges and sometimes little threads block the ink and leave tiny tiny white spots.
It would be a shame to throw them away, so we are offering them at a massive discount!
When using the Dance Towels most people won't notice these little imperfections, but we don't feel comfortable selling them at full price.
So, If you want to get your hands on an almost perfect Dance Towel for a massive discount, this is your chance!
Of course it is impossible for us to create exact pictures of every misprint, but rest assured they are all almost unnoticeable.
Why 120cm x 30cm?
In the 1930's in Germany, there was a movement that called themselves "Swing Jugend" or "Swing Kids" who opposed the Nazi regime and wore extravagant scarves as identification mark and 120x30 is the size of a so called "Opera Scarf".
Also 120x30 just makes it so that they can be easily used as a scarf, headwrap and be worn in many different styles without being too long or too short.
In addition to that: At 120x30 you can easily hang them over anything without them falling off or hanging down onto the floor.
How long does it take to embroider?
We are doing the embroidery in our living room, so we will finish your personalisation the same day you order it. (Unless one of the kids falls onto the machine while playing hide and seek.) So we can send out your Dance Towel the next workday just like any other order.
- Mystique Copper (Shining)
This colour is the ultimate form of elegant understatement. It perfectly matches the colors that are already within the Dancetowels, but still pops. The thread is made from 100% viscose which gives the embroidery a nice shine and thus lifts it up from the rest of the towel.
This color is not about bragging, its a gentle appreciation.
- Golden Hour (Shining)
This color is what's closest to real gold. It has a very nice shine to it and really stands out from any Dance Towel pattern. A name embroidered in this color is clearly visible but never overpowering due to it being gold and not yellow.
It's an amazing color and I personally come to like this one more and more.
Embroidery Position and Orientation
By default we will put the embroidery diagonally in the bottom left corner of the Dance Towel. That's where we found it to look the best.
If you want any other position, just add it to the form.
We will generally not embroider on the frame of the Dance Towel, because that will warp the fabric too much to look good.
Embroidery Sizes and Amount of Characters
By default we will use size M for most embroidery projects.
You can see the real size in the comparison picture with the 1€ coin.
If you want us to embroider anything that it longer than 10 characters, we will switch to size S or a combination of M and S because that's what looks best.
For longer names like "Benedikt Jockenhöfer" we recommend using a short form like B. Jockenhöfer.
All stitching is done by ourselves in our living room in the center of Germany. Each name, each letter is set up by hand and carefully stitched into the the Dancetowel without using a stabiliser. This delicate process ensures that there is no additional waste generated and that there is no stabiliser residue on the back side of the Dancetowel.
After all of that we go in by hand with some scissors and remove the so called "jump stitches". So this is real handmade.
It is overall possible for us to embroider other designs like dance schoo logos or band logos onto the Dance Towels, too, but if you want something like that please contact us beforehand since we would have to have an embroidery file created first, which also comes with additional costs.
Ultimately: Bringing a towel to your dances is something you do out of care for your dance partners and hundreds of dancers and musicians across the world have already joined this movement.

Dance Towels like "The Savoy" Absorb 3x more than a cotton towel of the same weight
The reason why microfiber is so absorbant is that the fiber is not round like cotton, but it has many "pockets" along the length of it that can take moisture way better than any round fiber.
Dries within a few songs because microfiber doesn't hold water.
Of course it all depends on how wet you make the Dance Towel, but overall our tests concluded: A fully soaked Dance Towel like "The Aviator" will usually be completely dry the next morning, so if you are at a festival, you can use it at night, wash it, when you get home and it should be ready to use the next day.
Becomes super soft after the first wash.
When you touch an unwashed Dance Towel like "Tanyas Sweet Secret" , it might still feel a little stiff, but after the first wash it will be soft and kuddely.
The Perfect Present for Dancers
The Dance Towels come in an awesome looking gift box that has 4 dance pairs on it, each representing a different dance style. When giving a gift, the first impression is what's important so we made sure the box is as awesome and iconic as the content.
In our dance schools there are a lot of occasions, where we need a really good present for a dancer. Maybe you need a present for a dance partner or a present for a dance teacher or a present for an organiser that shows appreciation and doesn't break the bank. The Dance Towels are perfect for that. Collect 5€ from 10 ppl in a course and you can gift your dance teacher a custom embroidered Dance Towel.
If you need a bigger present around 150-200€, we recommend you check out our article about Swing Dancing Shoes by Swing dancers here.
Made from 100% recycled bottles
This was very important for us and it actually made it very hard to find a producer and it also doubled our production costs to have the Dance Towels made from recycled bottles. The Dance Towels feel like a very soft fabric, you wouldn't guess it's plastic and you can wear it with pride because you know they reduce the amount of plastic going to waste.
Machinewashable at 60°C to prevent any smell
You surely know It is very important to be able to wash polyester clothing at 60°C because bacteria can thrive on the surface and create bad odors. What you might not know is that most microfiber towels will micro melt and loose their structure and their absoring qualities when washed above 30°C. That's why we went the extra mile and created microfiber towels that you can wash at 60°C/120°F over and over without them loosing their quality.
Antibacterial Fiber Structure
On a microscopic level the microfiber of the Dance Towels is created in a way that it traps bacteria in its fibers, so you will never smear any bacteria onto your face because they are trapped inside the fibers. These bacteria will then be killed and released at 60° in the washing mashine and the Dance Towel will be fresh again.
By Dancers For Dancers
We developed our BJ Dance Towels from our own experience as dancers and musicians in late night ballrooms, heated jam circles and sun filled pavilions, on light filled stages and amidst the crowd. We created the Dance Towels first and foremost for ourselves and we use them basically every day. That's why we created them exactly how we wanted them and we are very sure you will love them, too.
